T&A Community Stars
The Council has teamed up with the Telegraph and Argus to hold the Community Stars 2011 Awards, which are to give recognition to people who have worked in a voluntary capacity to improve the quality of life in Bradford district. There are six categories: volunteer, good neighbour, community group, fundraiser, community champion and young active citizen.
As there haven’t been many nominations for the Young Active Citizen Award so far please circulate these details through your networks to anyone working with young people.
The Awards will be presented at a civic reception at City Hall on the 1st December 2011, where the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Naveeda Ikram, will pay tribute to the work of those nominated for an award before handing out the exclusive silver medals which are being specially struck just for the Community Stars.
