About us

The Play Network is run by fully qualified Playworkers. Karen Morris, Lee Rands and Matt Mathers (in the middle) who has joined the team on a casual basis. The Play Network provides fun play activities for all children - all abilities across the Bradford District. We carry out play sessions in your setting or our setting at the Holybrook Centre, Eccleshill, where we are based. Our play sessions consist of Messy play, Go-Kart building, Waste not project, Scarecrow activities, Wood work, Birdhouse building, Art and Craft activities as well as other requested play sessions. The Play Network also have a resource library where members can loan themed boxes and large loan equipment such as the Underwater Sea Adventure and the inflatable Sports field. (Click here to view the library)

We also run a play scheme during the holidays at The Springfield Centre on Thorpe Edge in Idle. (For more details see news and events and calendar)

T.E.A.S

T.E.A.S (Thorpe Edge Activity sessions) is currently up and running but only on a thursday night due to funding, teas is for all children to attend free of charge. T.E.A.S is based in Thorpe edge on a Tuesday (at the Rockwell centre) and Thursday night (at the Springfield centre) starting at 5 and ending at 7. The activities we carry out at the sessions include teaching the children citizenship, taking care of your community, what is in your local community, how you can help within your community, life skills such as cooking, baking, road safety, gardening, and other activities to improve the area within Thorpe edge. As well as incorporating as much fun and play into the sessions as possible.

 Play scheme  

Play scheme is open to children of all ages at the Springfield centre in Thorpe edge during the holidays, due to the lack of funding the play scheme could only open 3 days a week during the summer holidays for 2 hours. Play scheme is a huge success averaging around 70 kids per day. Play scheme runs during the holidays as much as possible 2-4 for more information contact
